A Strong Collection of Community Publications
For a community our size, Kamloops really does have a great variety of good grasroots community publications. Interested in arts and entertainment, strong opinions, student issues, or positive reports about local issues and events? There is something for you!
A quick scan of local eateries and coffee shops yielded the following newsletters and newspapers.I know there are more.
Downtown Echo / North Shore Echo
Wenda Noonan and her team at the Echo are absolute leaders in local publishing. The Echos provide amazing amounts of quality, useful information – lots of community news, opinions, profiles, event listings, and jokes. All of based it on a good news philosophy. The Downtown Echo is available at many locations downtown and the North Shore Echo is similarly available at many eateries and coffee shops on the north shore.
Look Kamloops
I just love Look Kamloops and I am not entirely sure how Rebecca and Matt McLean get all that great event information in every issue. I totally believe the tagline: “The city’s most comprehensive what’s-going-on guide. Period.” Available at many gathering places across Kamloops including many locations in lower Sahali, Look Kamloops is also available online at www.lookkamloops.com
